You don’t have to travel overseas to hear first class World Music.

Australians are famous for their traveling adventures and no matter where you may find yourself in the world there will always be a fellow countrymen sitting there waiting to welcome you.
It is this very spirit of adventure that led talented Australian band Audio Shaman’s Paul George and Carey O’Sullivan to London , India and finally to the French Country Side Village of St Pons where the middle ages met modern recording technology and produced what is to be Audio Shamans’ first album.
‘Welcome Traveller’ is a descriptive diary of thoughts, emotions and human relationships - a melodic image of travelling stories. It is a musical journey of observation.

Self confessed frequent flyers, Paul George and Carey O’Sullivan’s musical journey allows you to be nostalgic for places you have possibly never been.

“We love to create songs that present meetings of different cultures, exploring tunes that primarily reflect the emotional or cultural influence of where we are right in that moment, no matter where that may be in the world” says O’Sullivan

Welcome Traveler is like a series of traveler’s landscapes providing a thoughtful listening experience that is enlightening, mesmerizing and cleansing. This recording is a lush collection of down tempo meanderings, an international musical experience. There is the unifying presence of different lives and a wonderful crispness that rewards the listener.
The music is sumptuous and flows like blood through the body.

Marrying acoustic gypsy scales and broken beats with smoothly integrated electronic world-sounds provides for a broad sonic palette and a dense layer of language, culture and tradition.

Welcome Traveler offers a rare opportunity to explore the endlessly inventive and emotionally nourishing musical story telling of Carey O’Sullivan and Paul George and their musical travelling time machine - Audio Shaman.

The journey is always more important than the destination.

  1. Hi guys,

I saw a brief review of the album in the Cairns Post a couple of weeks ago which made it sound really interesting. I checked you out on the web and listened to the samples and really liked what I heard. Today I bought the album and have been plugged into it at work.
LOVE IT! It’s absolutely perfect chill out music. I can’t wait to take it out on our next sailing excursion and have been picturing being anchored out at Fitzroy Island off Cairns, listening to the music as the sun goes down. My version of bliss! Thanks for making such beautiful music.

Anyway, I’m really writing this to let you know the effectiveness of your promotion techniques ie via the local rag.
